In 2017, Living Kitchens took a step to re-establish themselves as a polybrand by bringing together four of the world’s leading European design brands for the home under one umbrella

Welcome Domum, the South African distributors of bulthaup (German Kitchens), Rimadesio (Italian Joinery), Carl Hansen and Son (Danish Furniture makers) and Dinesen (Danish timber flooring).

Domum’s new flagship showroom in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town opened its doors in February 2018 and launched this brand change physically on the ground.

Three14 Architects were appointed to design the new flagship showroom space for Domum, and, although this was a commercial project, the space needed to feel like a ‘Home’ where the brief called for a showcasing and harmonizing of all four brands that allowed clients to experience the potential aesthetic outcome of a turnkey solution using the various brands that Domum represents.
